Yes, the Andamans are considered one of the safest travel destinations in India. The crime rate is low, and the tourism infrastructure is well-managed.
Are there any dangerous animals?
On Land: There are no large predators like tigers. Wildlife includes wild boar, deer, and various snakes (some venomous). Be cautious while trekking.
In Water: Saltwater crocodiles inhabit mangrove creeks and estuaries. Pay close attention to warning signs and never swim in these designated areas.
What is the policy on recreational drugs?
A strict zero-tolerance policy is in effect. The possession, consumption, or sale of narcotics is illegal and carries severe penalties, including long-term imprisonment.
